Polypipe Group

Polypipe is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of plastic pipe and fittings in the U.K. and Ireland. The company is based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, U.K., and has approximately 2,900 employees in 39 main facilities, most of them in the U.K. The Company also serves niche segments of the plastic pipe and fittings markets in Europe, with main operations in Germany and France.

The Polypipe brand is renowned across the U.K., Irish and European markets and is known for its broad product range, reliability, quality and pragmatic solutions, and is particularly strong amongst independent builders' merchants, specifiers and end-users. Primary end uses are residential and commercial building and civil engineering and utility applications.

Polypipe operates with six divisions. The Building Products, Civils, and Mainland Europe Divisions are in the core pipe and fittings areas, and related niches. The Bathroom and Kitchens Division provides a variety of equipment to that sector including toilet seats, plumbing supplies and fans. The Pre-packed Merchandise Division provides a selection of Polypipe products individually packaged and shelf-ready for the retail consumer market. Lastly, the Leisure Division produces garden and leisure furniture, most of which is plastic injection molded, and specialty tooling.

Polypipe was acquired by Castle Harlan Partners IV, L.P. in September 2005.
