AmeriCast Technologies, Inc.

AmeriCast Technologies, Inc. is the North American leader in the design and manufacture of large, complex steel castings. AmeriCast is headquartered at its largest facility, which is in Atchison, Kansas, and was founded in 1872. The Company produces highly engineered steel castings, with most of its volume from products over 10,000 pounds and the largest weighing 65,000 pounds. The company has a leading U.S. market share in large steel castings, and its customers include Caterpillar, Electro-Motive Diesel, and General Electric. End products for AmeriCast's castings include large mining trucks, locomotives and energy equipment. The company has five business units in North America.

AmeriCast was acquired by Castle Harlan Partners IV on November 21, 2006. Bradken, the leading steel foundry for mining and locomotive equipment in Australia and a former portfolio company of the CHAMP I funds, is a minority investor in the Company.
